17 Kerkrade Centrum Right off the train station, the Cube Design Museum is a delight to visit and so far one of my favourites in Limburg - full of inspiration. In the same complex, a stone's throw from the station you can find the Discovery Centre  . A short walk away the center is full of plaques and monuments to showcase the more recent history (mining history) as well as WWII ( walking tour map here ). But if these types of things are not for you - the area has gardens, parks, old castles, and a zoo so plenty to keep you busy on a sunny or rainy day.
